Lebanese Born in 1981, with 18 years of experience in the Agricultural field, graduated from the Lebanese University, Faculty of Agronomy in 2005 with Bachelor of agricultural engineering, specialization in plant production and in 2008 completed a 2nd Master’s degree in plant biotechnology and biodiversity from University of Kaslik – Lebanon with the collaboration Paris XI University – France. Carol is an expert in hydroponic systems, urban farming installations, vertical farms and plant nutrition for both ornamental and horticultural plant production, after managing Lusail City Nursery from 2014 to 2018, he joined Yara International ASA from 2018 to 2021 as an agronomist and part of a nationwide project to support Qatari food security and fresh vegetable production inside Qatar. In 2021 Carol joined Qatar Fertiliser Company (QAFCO) as Senior Agronomist and his current scope is to visit high tech hydroponic farmers and support them by giving consultancy advice for the best practices that could be implemented to enhance productivity and profitability of the farms, at the same time Carol manages several hydroponic trial stations inside private farms and Universities where different technologies of greenhouses are being tested.
